"Don’t be cruel towards children"

"Don’t be cruel towards children"
I could not restrain from writing this because you might be a parent or a teacher or a social worker. Don’t be cruel to your child by denying their natural endowment for playing different games with their friends and hence, getting active. You might have enjoyed your childhood fruitfully and now forgetting all this for the sake of Quality Education?
Children seem to become more sedentary every year, watching television and playing video games instead of playing in the backyard with their pals. Even schools have stopped emphasizing fitness and in some schools, physical education has vanished completely because of the deified enthusiasm on the English Education.
Kids need regular exercise to build strong bones and muscles. Exercise also helps children sleep well at night and stay alert during the day. Such habits established in childhood help them in later stages of their life to maintain healthy weight and good posture.
As childhood has become more sedentary, children have put on weight hence, leading to a dramatic increase in the number of children with early diabetes, blood pressure, stress, high anxiety, heart diseases, respiratory disorder, overweight etc. In fact it becomes a serious social crisis nowadays.
The obesity and its endanger can be minimized through the development of sporting culture among the people. But both parents and school have the power to give children a lifelong appreciation for activities that strengthen their bodies.
If you want an active child, be active yourself. Take the stairs instead of the elevator and park the car farther away from stores. Never make exercise seem a punishment or a chore. Find fun activities that the whole family can do together.
"If mom and dad exercise, it's a very powerful stimulus for a child to exercise," "In addition to getting you active, exercising together gives you good family time. The key is to get kids moving. Free-play activities such as playing tag, hide-and-seek, hopscotch or skipping rope can be great for burning calories and improving fitness."
See how much fun you can have while being active. Don't just run with them. Run like a gorilla. Walk like a spider. Jump like a bunny rabbit. Stretch like a cat.
It is widely recognised that active children having more resistance against diseases than inactive one. They have often good personality traits too like, frustration tolerance, emotional stability, understanding, aggressive, disciplined, talkative, optimistic, sociable, friendly, determined, punctual etc.
So, let us work together for a better tomorrow keeping in mind the motto i.e. "Sound mind in a sound body" to achieve our goal, healthy mind in a healthy body and ultimately a healthy humanity. All the best
With warm regards,
Mammedutty Nilambur
